Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, that the Page County Board of Zoning Appeals shall hold a public hearing on February 20,2018, at 10:00 a.m., in the County Government Center, 2nd Floor, 103 South Court Street, Luray, VA, to consider the following appeal request being presented by:
Herbert & Elizabeth Karp have requested an appeal of the Zoning Administrator's determination to require a special use permit (SUP) to operate a wedding venue located at 170 Kibler Drive, Luray, VA, & further identified by tax map #30A2-3-1. This property contains 3.870 acres & is currently split zoned Agriculture (A-1) & Residential (R). Under the Zoning Ordinance, Section 125-10(D).16, banquet & event facilities (as defined in Section 125-4), are only permitted by SUP in the Agriculture (A-1) district.
The Board of Zoning Appeals will hear comments from any concerned citizens on the above listed date and time. Copies of the request and the Zoning Ordinance may be reviewed at the Planning & Community Development Office, 103 South Court Street, Suite B, Luray, VA, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Note: Hearing impaired individuals who need an interpreter must notify the Zoning Office at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing.
