Board of Zoning Appeals - Variance Request

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, that the Page County Board of Zoning Appeals shall hold a public hearing at 10:00 a.m., on April 20, 2021, in the Board Room, located in the County Government Center, 103 South Court Street, 2nd Floor, Luray, VA, to receive public comments and to consider the following request. Due to the latest Governor's Order regarding COVID-19, the County will be adhering to and enforcing those restrictions and requirements.

Thomas Randall has filed a variance application for property located at 443 Mosbys Camp Road, Stanley, VA, and further identified by tax map number 73C-1-11. The property contains 1.19 acres and is zoned as Residential (R). This property is considered a corner lot as defined in § 125-4 of the Page County Zoning Ordinance. Front setback requirements as required on both rights-of-way. Pursuant to § 125-11.E of the Page County Zoning Ordinance, the required front setback is 35 feet. The applicant is requesting that a variance be granted to allow for an 18.8 foot front setback (off David Road) for the construction of a detached garage.

Copies of the request and the Page County Zoning Ordinance may be reviewed in the Planning & Community Development Office, 103 South Court Street, Suite B, Luray, VA, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Note: Hearing impaired individuals who need an interpreter must notify the Zoning Office at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing.
