Page County - Synopsis of the Budget For Information and Fiscal Planning Purposes Only

Fiscal Year July 1 2020 - June 30, 2021

Pursuant to the Code of Virginia, Section 15.2-2503 and 15.2-2506, notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing in the Page County Board of Supervisors Room, 103 South Court Street, Luray, VA 22835, at 7:00 p.m., on April 21, 2020, at which meeting any citizen of the County shall have the right to attend and state their written or oral views of the proposed budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. The proposed budget will not be approved, adopted, or ratified by the Board of Supervisors until at least seven days following this public hearing.

Comprehensive Plan Amendment

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2225 and Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, that the Page County Board of Supervisors shall hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., on April 21, 2020, in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, located in the County Government Center, 103 South Court Street, 2nd Floor, Luray, VA, for the purpose of considering changes to the Page County Comprehensive Plan, at which meeting any citizen shall have the right to attend via live-stream. The meeting link can be found on the County’s website at www.pagecounty.virginia.gov, prior to the meeting. Comments will be accepted electronically and are due by 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2020, by email to Regina Miller, at rmiller@pagecounty.virginia.gov.

The comprehensive plan is general in nature and is made with the purpose of guiding and accomplishing a coordinated, adjusted and harmonious development of the territory within Page County which will, in accordance with present and probable future needs and resources, best promote the health, safety, morals, order, convenience, prosperity and general welfare of the inhabitants, including the elderly and persons with disabilities. The amended comprehensive plan provides for the physical development of the territory within Page County, Virginia, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 15.2-2223, et seq., of the Code of Virginia, as amended.

A complete copy of the full text of the proposed amended comprehensive plan may be reviewed and inspected in the Planning and Community Development Office, 103 South Court Street, Suite B, Luray, VA 22835, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or can be found below.

Note: Any hearing impaired individuals who need an interpreter must notify the office at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing.
