Heart & Sole and Family Walking Program

The purpose of this program is to promote good family health habits. The program will run from April - October and the cost is free.  You must walk at least 30 miles each month, complete a tally sheet and turn it into the Recreation Department by the 5th of the following month to be eligible for the drawing.  Anyone who meet the requirements will be entered in a drawing for that month's prize.  If you walk with a family member for at least 30 miles your name will be entered in the drawing twice.

Tally Sheet

Fall Soccer

Registrations for fall soccer will be accepted from July 2, 2018 -- August 16, 2018, for ages 4-5 and Grades K-8.  The registration fee is $35.   There will be a $5 price break per child for 3 or more registered living within the same household.

James "Spading" Buracker Memorial 5K Run

The James "Spading" Buracker Memorial 5K Run will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the Luray Hawksbill Greenway.  The Kids 1K Run/Walk begins at 9 am; 5K begins at 9:30 am. The cost is as follows: 5K Run (all ages) $20; 5K Walk untimed (all ages) $15; Kids 1K Run/Walk (ages 9 and under) $10.

Register by September 3rd to receive a free t-shirt.

The Recreation Department Community 5K Run benefits the James "Spading" Buracker Community Service Scholarship Fund.
